Manicurist Program
This specialty course covers all aspects of manicuring and pedicuring. Completing this course, the State Program Examination, and Licensure will allow the Manicurist to perform skills such as manicuring, pedicuring, acrylic nails, nail tip applications, nail wraps, and repairs.
Mission & Objectives
The program prepares students for the state licensing examination and for employment as a manicurist or nail-care specialist. Students gain knowledge of California cosmetic regulations, sanitation and sterilization, manicuring theory including anatomy and physiology, plus business management techniques.
What You'll Learn

Chemistry, OSHA/EPA requirements, communicable diseases, and worker rights.
Disinfection & Sanitation
Infection prevention, tool and spa cleaning, and hand washing.
Manicures & Pedicures
Anatomy, physiology, bacteriology, and skin analysis.

Basic manicure and pedicure procedures, massage, professionalism, and client communication.
Manicurist Program — Hybrid Program
Our Manicurist Hybrid Program covers the same 400-hour curriculum in a blended format that combines online theory instruction with hands-on practical training completed on campus.
Graduation Requirements
Students shall have completed the Theory and Operations required by the Bureau of Barbering & Cosmetology with a grade average of “C” (70%) or better. A final skills exam is administered; no externship is required.
