How we handle information about our students and families.

SFVCCA collects only the information needed to run the school: student and parent names, contact details, class enrolment, assignments and grades, and messages sent through the portal. Contact-form submissions are stored so the school office can reply.
Student work, grades, and teacher notes are visible only to that student, their linked parents or guardians, the teachers of their classes, and the principal. We do not sell, rent, or share student information with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.
Passwords are stored using one-way cryptographic hashing and cannot be read by staff. If you forget a password, the school office can issue a new one — nobody can retrieve the old one. Please tell us promptly if you believe an account has been accessed by someone else.
We sometimes photograph classes and festival events for our newsletter and website. Families who prefer their child not be photographed should notify the school office in writing, and we will honour that request.
The portal uses a single session cookie to keep you signed in. It contains no personal information and is discarded when you close your browser. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
